Job Description:
The Role
As a Software Quality Engineer at Intel Security, you will be part of a highly motivated and talented Engineering Team, who is passionate to deliver the best quality and secure product to our customers within a committed timeline. You will ensure the best product quality by participating in design reviews, creating well defined test plans, executing manual tests and automate test cases. In addition, you will be required to perform security testing on the products. It is a unique and challenging role that calls for a strong passion for quality and technology, with excellent problem solving skills.
Responsibilities
Participating in Design Reviews and Code Inspections.
Contribute to the overall test strategy with focus on customer centricity and security.
Hands-on authoring of test cases and test code combined with test execution.
Responsible for automating test cases for effective test coverage.
Perform debugging and troubleshooting in variety of local and remote testing environments as well as in the field as required.
Perform scalability and performance testing simulating real life environments through automated techniques.

We are seeking candidates that thrive on challenge and have the ability to work with minimum supervision within a team of diverse expertise. The minimum qualifications we look for are:
At least 4 - 6 years of experience in product quality assurance including code review / bug analysis, writing test tools, and identifying automation opportunities.
A proven track record of Linux Operating System/OSX (Mac) knowledge.
Demonstrated proficiency in designing test cases and contributing to effective test planning.
Should have excellent problem solving skills.
Basic Knowledge in C++ programming a plus.
Should have proven hands-on experience and good knowledge in Python.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both within a team and cross-group to drive identification and resolution of issues to ship under tight deadlines along with being able to drive features into the product.
Preferred Qualifications
Good understanding of Linux Operating system internals (RHEL, SLES, Ubuntu etc..)
Knowledge in Mac OSX a plus.
Very good knowledge in scripting language (python experience is preferred).
Working experience in virtualization or cloud environment like Amazon a plus.
Experience with network protocols [TCP/IP] will be a plus.
Knowledge of basic C++ is a plus.
Knowledge of Security Testing a plus.
Linux kernel level knowledge is a plus.
