- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 4+ years of industry experience.
- Solid experience in C, C++ , Java or C# (expert in at least one).
- Solid expertise in Data Structures and Algorithms.
- Solid understanding of Object Oriented design and concepts.
- Solid UNIX or Linux experience.
- Good understanding of networking concepts.
- Experience with scaling and performance of large systems.
- Great understanding of database theory and solid experience in at least one relational DBMS.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Obsession with quality and customer experience - Attention to detail coupled with ability to think abstractly
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with building and supporting live high-volume production systems
- Messaging (JMS etc.) - XML and Web Service concepts.
- An experience in or knowledge of Information Security domain - SSL, Authentication / Authorization etc.
- Experience in Ruby / Rails is an advantage.
- Experience of having worked in Agile teams.
- Experience with scaling and performance of large systems
